Further strengthening its role as a holistic training hub, the Academy also launched a SAMSA-accredited firefighting training facility in Hout Bay in 2024. Offered in partnership with Sea Safety Training Group (SSTG), the facility now provides essential courses in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, benefitting both Oceana’s seagoing employees and members of the public.
